Interview at SiriusXM Radio

Hey Guys,

Here's some behind-the-scenes pictures from Dale's interview with SiriusXM Freewheelin'. We had a blast with Meredith Ochs and Chris T. We even got to talk about Yellow Rose! AND we saw Dolly! More pictures and videos to follow.

Dale Watson cast as Jimmy Redburn

So pleased to announce that country music icon Dale Watson has been cast in the lead role of Jimmy Redburn in our film Yellow Rose.  He will also be contributing original music as well as his library of music for the film.

Dale is the real deal, an authentic country musician, who plays regularly at the Grand Ole Opry and is a fixture in the Austin Honky Tonk scene. He recently appeared in the stage play Ghost Brothers of Darkland County written by Stephen King scored by John Cougar Mellencamp and directed by T-Bone Burnett.

Dale champions "Ameripolitan" as a new genre of original music and has positioned himself as a tattooed, stubbornly independent outsider who is interested in recording authentic country music. He has become a favorite of critics and alt-country fans.

Here's an exclusive clip from our screen test.   Dale Watson singing "Every Song That I Write is For You."  The song will also be featured in our film.

Castings continuing through Burton Casting

HI All

We are conducting a nationwide search to find Rose Garcia.  Please see the posting below and contact Burton casting if you think you are right for the role.

Burton Casting is doing an extensive statewide search in Texas to find the female lead/title character in the SAG feature film “Yellow Rose”. We are looking for the following:

ROSARIO GARCIA 13-18 yrs. MUST BE FILIPINO. Musical skills are a huge plus for this character (singing, guitar, violin etc.). She is a spitfire but a highly insecure young woman. Her ambition sometimes gets the better part of her. Even when people taunt her and call her “YELLOW ROSE,” she becomes more defiant. She loves her mother but also feels alienated from her and the entire Filipino culture. She’s a Texan through and through, and her worst nightmare is to be shipped back to the Philippines. When she was a little girl her father gave her a guitar and ever since then she has seen herself being the new Loretta Lynn. While she loves Texas and everything about it, the problem is that Texas doesn’t really love her back.

If you don’t fit the above description but know someone who does, please help spread the word about this great project. This is an amazing opportunity for a young actress and finding the right star is of utter importance.

Audition dates and exact shoot dates are still TBD but we will most likely hold auditions in Austin, TX during the first week of April. We are also accepting taped auditions if you do not live in the Austin area.
